Moored on a historic stretch of Cochin's famed harbor , The Brunton Boatyard Hotel was
resurrected from the remains of a Victorian shipyard. Today, it gives the modern traveler
a unique opportunity to dwell amidst the shadow plays of 19th century history.
Plantation House is the proprietor's bungalow of Wattalaya Watta plantation. Its now more
than six decades old and was earlier occupied by the village chief. The surrounding village
is called Nehinna on the suburbs of Kalutara district. A rubber production surrounds the
bungalow and the first building which you passed in the drive way was the then factory used
for the production of smoked rubber sheets.
